Audition Information || Season 2023
Auditions for our 2023 Season are currently open, and due to close on Sunday October 23rd. Please see below for the audition guide and contact auditions@concordiaensemble.org for any questions.
What are the audition requirements?Due to COVID this year, and the difficulties of interstate travel, we will be conducting our auditions online. Auditionees will need to submit the following:
Ideally, the pieces should be contrasting and sung in a classical style. Videos should be shared via Google Drive, OneDrive or Youtube to ensure optimal quality. PDF files are preferred for the CV, however, Google Docs or Word Documents are also sufficient. Please make sure all files are shared to a format such as 'anyone with the link may view', or equivalent, or if password protected, please provide the password. Videos should show, at the minimum, yourself singing from the waist upwards. Who can audition?We accept auditions from all people, untrained and professionals alike. We welcome everyone and anyone who has a love for music.

What works will we perform?Auditionees will be considered for both fully staged operas with orchestra and minor productions, such as concerts.
We have yet to publicly announce our official 2023 season. The works we have under consideration for our 2023 season include compositions by Humperdinck, Richard Strauss, Britten and Mozart. Please contact auditions@concordiaensemble.org if you would like the private audition guide, which includes the full list of works. As Concordia Ensemble is run as a Not-For-Profit organisation, we are unfortunately unable to promise remuneration for performance work. We are, however, looking at external funding options in order to supply stipends. Who do I contact?Please send your audition materials and any questions to auditions@concordiaensemble.org
What about my vaccination status?We require all our performers to either be fully vaccinated or able to provide proof of medical exemption by the beginning of the rehearsal period for the production they are selected for.
